Pasal 52

1. Mengapa engkau memegahkan diri dengan kejahatan, hai pahlawan, terhadap orang yang dikasihi Allah sepanjang hari?

2. (52-4) Engkau merancangkan penghancuran, lidahmu seperti pisau cukur yang diasah, hai engkau, penipu!

3. (52-5) Engkau mencintai yang jahat lebih dari pada yang baik, dan dusta lebih dari pada perkataan yang benar. Sela

4. (52-6) Engkau mencintai segala perkataan yang mengacaukan, hai lidah penipu!

5. (52-7) Tetapi Allah akan merobohkan engkau untuk seterusnya, Ia akan merebut engkau dan mencabut engkau dari dalam kemah, membantun engkau dari dalam negeri orang-orang hidup. Sela

6. (52-8) Maka orang-orang benar akan melihatnya dan menjadi takut, dan mereka akan menertawakannya:

7. (52-9) "Lihatlah orang itu yang tidak menjadikan Allah tempat pengungsiannya, yang percaya akan kekayaannya yang melimpah, dan berlindung pada tindakan penghancurannya!"

8. (52-10) Tetapi aku ini seperti pohon zaitun yang menghijau di dalam rumah Allah; aku percaya akan kasih setia Allah untuk seterusnya dan selamanya.

9. (52-11) Aku hendak bersyukur kepada-Mu selama-lamanya, sebab Engkaulah yang bertindak; karena nama-Mu baik, aku hendak memasyhurkannya di depan orang-orang yang Kaukasihi!
