1. तब शूही बिल्दद ने कहा,

2. प्रभुता करना और डराना यह उसी का काम है; वह अपने ऊंचे ऊंचे स्थानों में शान्ति रखता है।

3. क्या उसकी सेनाओं की गिनती हो सकती? और कौन है जिस पर उसका प्रकाश नहीं पड़ता?

4. फिर मनुष्य ईश्वर की दृष्टि में धमीं क्योंकर ठहर सकता है? और जो स्त्री से उत्पन्न हुआ है वह क्योंकर निर्मल हो सकता है?

5. देख, उसकी दृष्टि में चन्द्रमा भी अन्धेरा ठहरता, और तारे भी निर्मल नहीं ठहरते।

6. फिर मनुष्य की क्या गिनती जो कीड़ा है, और आदमी कहां रहा जो केंचुआ है!
