Kapitel 36
1. Es sinnen die Übertreter auf gottloses Treiben im Grund ihres Herzens. Es ist keine Gottesfurcht bei ihnen.
2. Und doch hat Gott den Weg vor ihnen geebnet, um ihre Schuld aufzufinden und zu hassen.
3. Alle ihre Worte sind falsch und erlogen, verständig und gut handeln sie nicht mehr.
4. Sie trachten auf ihrem Lager nach Schaden und stehen fest auf dem bösen Weg und scheuen kein Arges.
5. HERR, deine Güte reicht, so weit der Himmel ist, und deine Wahrheit, so weit die Wolken gehen.
6. Deine Gerechtigkeit steht wie die Berge Gottes und dein Recht wie die große Tiefe. HERR, du hilfst Menschen und Tieren.
7. Wie köstlich ist deine Güte, Gott, daß Menschenkinder unter dem Schatten deiner Flügel Zuflucht haben!
8. Sie werden satt von den reichen Gütern deines Hauses, und du tränkst sie mit Wonne wie mit einem Strom.
9. Denn bei dir ist die Quelle des Lebens, und in deinem Lichte sehen wir das Licht.
10. Breite deine Güte über die, die dich kennen, und deine Gerechtigkeit über die Frommen.
11. Laß mich nicht kommen unter den Fuß der Stolzen, und die Hand der Gottlosen vertreibe mich nicht!
12. Siehe da, sie sind gefallen, die Übeltäter, sind gestürzt und können nicht wieder aufstehen.
