Psalmen 70

Hoofdstuk 70

1. Een psalm van David, voor den opperzangmeester, om te doen gedenken. (70:2) Haast U, o God, om mij te verlossen, o HEERE, tot mijn hulp.

2. (70:3) Laat hen beschaamd en schaamrood worden, die mijn ziel zoeken; laat hen achterwaarts gedreven en te schande worden, die lust hebben aan mijn kwaad.

3. (70:4) Laat hen terugkeren tot loon hunner beschaming, die daar zeggen: Ha, ha!

4. (70:5) Laat in U vrolijk en verblijd zijn allen, die U zoeken; laat de liefhebbers Uws heils geduriglijk zeggen: God zij groot gemaakt!

5. (70:6) Doch ik ben ellendig en nooddruftig; o God, haast U tot mij; Gij zijt mijn Hulp en mijn Bevrijder; HEERE, vertoef niet!
