1. Ja mulle tuli Issanda sõna; ta ütles:

2. 'Inimesepoeg, kas on siis viinapuu, metsapuude seas olev väät, parem kui kõik teised puud?

3. Kas võetakse sellest puud, et teha tarbeasja? Või kas võetakse sellest varn, et riputada sinna igasugu riistu?

4. Vaata, see antakse tuleroaks. Tuli põletab selle mõlemaid otsi ja selle keskpaik kõrvetatakse – kas see kõlbab veel millekski?

5. Vaata, kui see oli rikkumata, siis ei saadud seda tarvitada millekski; veelgi vähem saab seda millekski tarvitada, kui tuli on seda põletanud ja kõrvetanud.

6. Seepärast ütleb Issand Jumal nõnda: Nii nagu ma metsapuude seast olen andnud viinapuu tuleroaks, nõnda loovutan ma Jeruusalemma elanikud.
